In support of the CWIA events, impressionist John Fuld portrays Colonel Adam Badeau, General Grant’s Military Secretary.  On the personal recommendation of Grant's Chief of Staff, General John Rawlins, Badeau join the staff of Ulysses S. Grant as a Lieutenant Colonel and Military Secretary.  During this time Badeau and Grant became close friends. Badeau took part in the Wilderness and Appomattox campaigns and received promotion to Colonel. He remained on Grant's staff until 1869 and left on disability from a wound received at the Battle of Port Hudson. He held the brevet rank of Brigadier General.
